Update: Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies have determined that the suspicious device near the Bank of America is no longer a threat.

Roads near the bank are expected to reopen soon. Expect minor delays until things are back to normal and the scene is cleared.

Police are responding to a ‘suspicious device’ call near the Bank of America on the corner of Research Parkway and Alafaya Trail near UCF.

Employees of the Bank of America discovered the device in the bushes near the bank, according to Orange County Sheriff’s Office Spokesman Jeff Williamson. The device is located near the edge of the parking lot.

The Explosive Ordinance Division of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office has been called in and are setting up at this time near the scene.

Law enforcement has closed down Alafaya Trail between Lokanotosa Trail and University Blvd until further notice.
