According to the report, Knight’s Pantry has given away over 5,000 lbs of food this semester.

The contest was held this past Saturday at Memory Mall and has so far raised 40,000 pounds of food for the North American Food Drive.

According to the event’s Facebook group, “the sorority with the most amount of food raised and donated along with total points will win Watermelon Bust and will be selected to have Pirate WEEK with Lambda Chi in the spring.”

The overall winner of the event was the Alpha Delta Pi sorority, followed by Kappa Kappa Gamma and Zeta Tau Alpha.

The event was sponsored by local organizations, including satirical DC website thewashingtonfancy.com.

Highly awaited performers Panic! At the Disco and Lupe Fiasco sang several of their most well-known songs including Panic!’s “I Write Sins Not Tragedies” and from Lupe’s latest album Lasers, “The Show Goes On.” Between Panic! At the Disco lead singer Brendon Urie’s eccentric performance style and Lupe’s drenching of the front crowd, student response of the show overall seemed positive.

The first one has to do with graduate funding and the second is asking students whether they are in favor of an alcohol emergency policy (AEP).

AEP is a weaker form of medical amnesty that does not include protecting students from school punishment for saving their friends that are overdosing on all drugs, but instead only protects students who have been drinking alcohol.

Support for reforming UCF’s alcohol policy has grown in the wake of Ann Hefferin’s death, who died after a fraternity party. It’s still not known, however, if alcohol contributed to her death.

The two day philanthropy consists of a barbeque and dance competition where charity and school supplies are collected for the Children’s Home Society.

According to a press release sent to KnightNews.com, over 25 organizations are expected to compete in this years shakedown.

The winner of the overall competition is decided by attendance, tickets from the BBQ sold, school supplies donated, and the dance competition.

Last year, Kappa Delta raised $1,300 for the charity including thousands of school supplies.

The car is scheduled to be at the loading dock in between Engineering Buildings 1 and 2 at noon on Monday, and then driven through campus. The driver will also be taking questions about the car, and providing photo opportunities for those who want to take advantage.
