Collegiate Baseball has released its annual recruitment rankings for 2009 class, and the Knights are at their highest rank ever. UCF baseball came in at number four in the nation of the best recruited classes for this year. This is the highest rankings in the program’s history.
Head coach Terry Rooney says, “It is my belief that this collection of players will be viewed upon in the coming years as the recruiting class that brought UCF back to the upper echelon of college baseball”.
The team also led the schools in Conference USA. According to UCF, the new class consists of 21 players, 10 of which are from junior college ranks, and 6 that were previously selected in the MLB draft. The team began fall drills October, 1.
