With doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the show starting at 7:00 p.m., the arena filled with students. Although, it saw nowhere near as many as the arena saw at Comedy Knight.
The show was composed of different organizations putting on skits and dances, with an eight-minute time limit, to appease a panel of judges in hopes of taking home the group awards for either Best Dance or Best Skit, and for the individual awards of Leading Man and Leading Lady.
The award for Best Dance went to:
Delta Delta Delta and Phi Delta Theta

The award for Best Skit will be announced Sunday.
Most of the acts were performed by several Greek organizations that had partnered together for this Homecoming week event, although non-Greek organizations took part too. It was a great way for them to get to know one another and build friendships, win or lose.
These organizations practiced daily for weeks, and used intricate costumes and props to elaborate on their stories.
KnightNews.com was able to capture the entire show, and we have provided videos of all the skits that were performed.

r u kidding me? Rukus was sick! Their pereformance was awesome. Way better than the ghetto stuff they used to attempt to pull off. This year they had awesome costumes, were really in theme, and didnt have everyone just dancing together but had different entrances and transitions and stuff.. ur crazy if u found that awful….?

The videos are not working properly… some of them are and some aren’t… everytime I click delta delta delta and then see the video and press play.. the entire website reloads and it does the same thing over and over again for multiple videos. I can only watch Zeta.

Knightro’s Entrance has been up since yesterday afternoon. It might have just been on the Opening Act’s page. Either way, it is up now under ‘Knightro’s Entrance.’
The Campus Crusade video has been fixed, as well as Honors Congress.

Could you please change the title of “Honors College Congress” to “Honors Congress”? Honors Congress is the official student organization of the Honors College. It’s harder to search for the video if the name is typed wrong. Thank you.
I do not understand the complaints about the vocal percussion. In a cappella music, there are no instruments, only voices. Part of contemporary a cappella is making instrument sounds with only your voices. This includes the instrument known as the drum. Would you be complaining if someone had been playing a snare drum for a performance of the national anthem? I don’t think so. So why should there be complaints about making a drum with your mouth?
If all anyone can complain about with Skit Knight this year is the fact that someone beat boxed during a Veterans Ceremony, then it seems to me like this Skit Knight can be classified as a pretty successful event overall.
I’d like to Reply to “national anthemn nonsense”‘s comment.
In music, directors and composeres are always trying out new and exciting ways to sing wonderful music. Acapella is no different from what I can see, completely eliminating accompaniment in order to gain a purer, more human sound. It’s not fair to them that you would just go and condemn the entire song just for one small portion of it you didn’t enjoy. That’s like saying the beginning of Free Bird is boring and thereby proclaming it to be a bad song.

I think it was not only disgraceful to the national anthem but rude in every way. You do NOT beatbox the national anthem for any reason whatsoever, especially when you are doing a veteran’s tribute. It is a solemn song and should be respected as such. Besides them, every other skit was amazing and everyone did great!
If you don’t pass the original audition, you are able to prove yourself at a later date as long as it is approved by exec.

The other best leading man besides the Joker was Colt Priesman, who played Mickey Mouse from Sigma Nu.
im curious to know how tri delt and phi delt were able to compete when they did not pass the audition for skit knight
