Attend a Steve Aoki show on a weekly basis and you’ll never have to visit the gym. Providing a non-stop dance party and continuous fist pumping, the founder of Dim Mak Records, Benihana heir and world renown DJ, Steve Aoki, was definitely “In the House” on his “I’m In the House Tour!”, Monday evening at Roxy Night Club in Orlando.

The opening act began with Amtrak, and moved into a switch-off between Mustache Florida, and DJ Derek Walin. Passionately bringing along an exorbitant amount of energy, the three DJ’s immediately brought the crowd into a dance frenzy. With different styles, but a smooth flow none the less, the opening acts provided a nice warm-up stretch for the rest of the evening’s activity.

After continuous teasing announcements of his arrival, Steve Aoki finally appeared with his fearless attitude, and hopped onto deck like a mad-man ready to party. Unifying the crowd of hipsters, typical club goers and drunken bafoons with his eclectic beats, Aoki dropped his hit “Warp 1.9.” Inviting Walin and Mustache Florida back on deck to spin along with him, the two danced right next to this energizer bunny of a DJ and helped bring along an uncanny, exciting environment.

Being more of an entertainer than anything else, Aoki didn’t stop his notorious head banging and body shaking until the next morning. As he popped bottles amongst the audience, crowd surfed on a pool float through Roxy, and squirted everyone with a water-gun, Aoki had the crowd enjoying the thrill of a not-so-typical Monday night.

As Steve Aoki leaves the states to continue on his “I’m In the House Tour!”, I can’t help but wish I had seen him live a few more times this year. His original personality projected through his performance makes for a great live production. If you haven’t seen him in concert yet, I suggest you hopping on the band-wagon immediately.
