The Real McCoy’s, occupying the building of what once was TD’s sports bar and grille, proves to be not only a step up in cleanliness and décor, but also a real change from the average bars in the UCF area.
The new bar offers a casual spot to hangout with ample room, great lighting and a manageable music level that makes conversation possible. The crowded beer pong tables that littered the floor of T.D’s have been replaced with tasteful bar style tables and stools as well as dance poles opening up the floor for dancing, talking and more space to breathe. The entire bar and surrounding walls have been refurnished and the room is lit up with a wide range of colored lights that contribute to the stimulating scene.
The VIP loft, which was also newly redone, looks more chic and inviting than ever before.
Also worth mentioning is the good quality of the drinks, a serious deviation from the cheap, watered down rip-offs offered by most college bars. Priding itself in its southern roots, The Real McCoy’s boasts mechanical bull rides and line dancing to some of the best country music around every Wednesday for its weekly country nights.
The Real McCoy’s isn’t just a country bar however, throughout the week it will be hosting DJs playing popular music of all genres plus coming soon will be live music every Friday taking place on the new alternate stage, and a full menu for good eatin’ at the bar. Opening night at The Real McCoy’s proved that it’s the spot to be for anyone who’s looking for a low key spot to get good music, good deals and an even better atmosphere.
