Alternative band Sing It Loud has announced that they are going their separate ways. The group from Minneapolis, Minnesota posted this blog on their official MySpace yesterday:
“After three years of playing music together, we (Pat, Ben, Nate, Chris and Kieren) have decided to step away from Sing It Loud. We would like to thank everyone who has supported us through this amazing part of our lives. We have been given a rare opportunity to do something many people never get the chance to do, and for that we are eternally grateful.
“There is no drama or bad blood between any of us, we are all going out together the same way we came into this- as friends. There comes a time in everyone’s life when they need to make choices and steps towards what will make them happy, and we are all ready to take those steps in our lives. We have grown so much from this, and are ready for the next chapter in our lives.
“This will not be the last you hear from any of us. We all plan on continuing with our musical careers, so we hope the amazing support from Sing It Loud fans will continue as we do. A series of final shows will be announced soon, so be on the look out for those and for what we do next.
“Thank you all for enriching our lives and giving us the chance to share our music with you. We could not be more content with what we have accomplished.”
Sing It Loud, who were signed to Epitaph Records, have shared the stage with bands like Forever the Sickest Kids, Motion City Soundtrack, and Cobra Starship. They were also a part of the 2009 Van’s Warped Tour and have played at numerous Orlando venues such as BackBooth, House of Blues, and The Social. Knightnews.com even interviewed lead singer Pat Brown last December (http://knightnews.com/2009/12/knightnews-interviews-sing-it-loud/).
Although it is sad to see these talented guys call it quits as a band, we can hopefully expect some exciting material from them as individuals in the future.
