Update 9:30 PM: The Gainesville Sun is reporting that the suspect has been identified by relatives as Clifford L. Miller Jr. He was found dead in his red Chevrolet truck, having apparently committed suicide.
Seven people were shot, two of which were fatal, at around 4 p.m. in southeast Gainesville today, according to The Gainesville Sun.
It wasn’t on or immediately near University of Florida, according to reports.
It appeared to be a random shooting spree and when the suspect was pulled over he had shot himself but as of right now his condition is unknown, according to The Gainesville Sun.
