Sterling Fire Turns Out to Be Prank
Beyond UCF, Housing, News, Safety — By Andrew Stein on November 12, 2010 at 12:16 pmThe Sterling Central Apartment complex, located on Alafaya Trail across from UCF, had its fire alarms sound at approximately 2 a.m. this morning, due to a supposed fire.
STUDENT WHO CALLED 9-1-1
Fire Rescue responded to a call claiming there was smoke coming out of the second floor’s hallway. However, the smoked turned out to be nothing more than a prank. Two fire extinguishers were sprayed in the hallway, and gave off a smoke-like appearance.
FOOTAGE FROM THE SCENE
Residents gathered outside in the cold, most of them wearing their pajamas, as the firefighters entered the building to find our what caused the alarms to sound. Most residents wanted to simply return to their apartments and go back to sleep, but the authorities kept everyone contained in one location outside while residents speculated as to what was happening.

do not live at sterling.
Horrible staff service and no access to the “features” they advertise (game room always closed)
Ask anyone that lives here. All this vandalism is probably due to the residents frustration about living here. I see this type of thing all the time and am even tempted myself.
You really took the time to comment on this story just to express that you think the interviewee is “hot”? This is a student-run college newspaper. Please take your immaturity elsewhere.
yeah I would probably hit that… I’d get her knocked out pozin style first…
Thanks for wasting our tax dollars on your stupid prank!
the girl in the last video is hot
