This weekend tens of thousands of people will pack into the Florida Citrus Bowl to see one of the most popular events in Central Florida— Monster Jam!

Monster Jam will consist of 1,500 horsepower, 10,000 pound monster trucks competing in side by side racing and freestyle competition.

The popular freestyle competition gives drivers 90 seconds to win over the crowd with all types of tricks including large jumps, wheelies, truck-spinning donuts, and the destructions of cars, vans, buses, motor homes and more.

The field of drivers includes 3-time World Champion Dennis Anderson driving Grave Digger, Maximum Destruction, Gun Slinger, and first time appearances by Iron Man, Nitro Circus, Mohawk Warrior.

Monster Jam also includes half racing/ half demolition derby action of Democross with a trailer race finale, and ATV Quad Wars Racing.

Friday morning KnightNews.com got an up close look at some of the monster trucks and drivers of Monster Jam.

The Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam is going to be held this Saturday, January 29 at the Florida Citrust Bowl Stadium, gates open at 5 p.m. and the opening ceremony starts at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets for the event range from $30 to $15 except on game day where tickets are $3 more but better hurry this event is expecting a large crowd.
