Just days after Rebecca Black released her music video “Friday” on YouTube, which has swept the globe with nearly 30 million views, a University of Central Florida student has released a music video of his own.

The music video is called “Amazin'” and was posted by UCF freshman Brandon K. Howard, who stars in the video and goes by A.T. while performing. It tells the story of how Howard’s life is amazing, apparently as he lives the college life at UCF — even if he doesn’t make it as a famous singer.

Unlike Rebecca Black, who appeared to rely heavily on green screen technology to produce her video, Howard made UCF of Orlando’s iconic Lake Eola and downtown skyline. He also made use of a local Orlando mall. The end of the video shows security wasn’t pleased with the mall being a location for a production shoot and kicked him out.

Black’s video, which has sparked a firestorm of controversy from critics, focused mostly on the importance of Friday and the start of the weekend to herself and her friends. See Black’s Friday video below:

While Black has earned fame, she has also earned critics. Recently, American Idol legend Simon Cowell came to her defense.

“I love her [and] the fact that she’s gotten so much publicity. People are so upset about the song, but I think it’s hysterical,” Cowell told People magazine. “I want to meet her. Anyone, who can create this much controversy within a week, I want to meet. I love people like that.”

Howard’s “Amazin'” video is so new, it’s not yet clear if it will take off and go viral — or how it will be received if it does. Right now it only has about 307 views. KnightNews.com will monitor the video and update you as the situation develops. For now, leave a comment below to let us know which video you like better: Friday or Amazin’.
