Jantel Lavender was too much for the UCF women’s basketball team on Saturday.

Lavender scored 30 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, notching her 75th-career double double, in leading Ohio State past the Knights in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament, 80-69, and ending UCF’s season.

The loss snaps an 11-game winning streak for the Knights heading into the tournament.

D’Nay Daniels scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, while Ashia Kelly tied Daniels with a team-high 16 points. Chelsie Wiley added 11 for UCF (22-11).

The Knights found themselves exiting the NCAA tournament once again in the first round, as they had done in their three previous tournament appearances (’09, ’99, ’96).
