My Dear Cindy:
I am over come with grief to hear the news about Brandon. Thinking just yesterday we were having sleep overs with no cares in the world.
Although life carried us in different directions, my love for you and your family are eternal. My deepest condolences.
With loving and peaceful wishes,
Cari
Spoken like a true Knight library bartender. His whole fraternity knows where he was drinking. You are obviously diverting the attention away from what really happened. The accident was a short walk from the plaza he was spending money partying at. Unless he was going to magically teleport himself, he was eventually going to have to cross the street. Blame the lights and not the people who profited off his underage drinking. That is pathetic and disgusting. Do not waste peoples time while they are grieving a tragic loss.
If you read the crash report, the accident occurred at Orion and McCulloch, not at the plaza across from UCF. That being said, I can understand how somebody could be walking and not be seen until it was too late. As someone who lives in an apartment complex off of McCulloch, I can attest to the fact that the lack of streetlights and acceptable sidewalks along the south side is dangerous. McCulloch is the border between Orange and Seminole, so neither county has put funding into lighting the area or creating safer pathways for residents. This tragic death may have been prevented if McCulloch was made safer for pedestrians at night.
This is the second underage ucf student killed walking home from the plaza after a night of being served underage by Knight Library in the last few years. Thank god the whole plaza is being shut down. Good riddance and I encourage everyone to boycott these plaza bars until they shut down on September 30.
Dear Cindy,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your son…I am speechless! Although it has been years since I have seen you, please know I send so much love! I wish you and your family lots and lots of strength during this most horrific nightmare…with love always, Barbara
