Some of the coldest weather of the season is coming to Central Florida and other parts of the state as early as Tuesday night.

Tuesday night temperatures are expected to drop into the low 60s and continue into Wednesday with a high of only 67 in the afternoon and a low of 55 later that night, according to the National Weather Service.

Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers and wind gusts as high as 35 mph.

The cold snap is only expected to last a few days with temperatures returning to the 80s by Friday afternoon.
