A recent graduate from the University of Central Florida is a top 30 contestant on the hit singing show “American Idol” and will be performing live for the first time on Tuesday.
Kristen O’Connor, who graduated from UCF in December with a nursing degree, is one of the top 15 girls on the show’s 13th season.
O’Connor has posted videos on her YouTube page of her covering songs from artists like Alicia Keys, Imagine Dragons, Rihanna and more.
“Kristen is going to need all the votes she can get and it would mean the world if she can have the UCF Knight community behind her,” O’Connor’s friend Renny Whidden said.
