With less than a week away before classes begin, Pegasus Palooza is right around the corner.
Pegasus Palooza is UCF’s official welcome week, with a week full of social and service activities for students to get involved in.
August 15:
- The first event is the UCF Football Fan Fest from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Brighthouse Network Stadium on campus. Fans will be able to get autographs and take photos with the football players, learn about UCF football traditions and win prizes.
August 16:
- Sponsored by the Department of Housing and Residence Life, students will be able to shop after-hours at Target exclusively with other UCF students. UCF will provide transportation from Libra, Academic Village, CFE Arena, Lake Claire, Knights Circle, NorthView and Rosen.
August 17:
- Convocation for freshmen will be in the CFE Arena from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Students will be welcomed by University President John C. Hitt and receive their 2018 Graduation tassel.
- Opening Knight will be in the Student Union from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Over 200 organizations to meet will be set up in the Student Union, along with prizes and refreshments.
August 18
- Taste of UCF in the Student Union Pegasus Ballroom from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Students will be able to try traditional recipes from 20 different countries.
- Movie Knight presented by CAB will be in the CFE Arena from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Captain America 2 will be playing and CAB members will introduce themselves.
August 19
- Knight vs. Food Challenge in Wackadoos in the Student Union from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Students will be participating in the Wackadoos Ultimate Fatass Challenge and will try to eat 2lbs of burger, 9 slices of American cheese, 9 strips of bacon, 1 lb. pulled pork, BBQ sauce and 1lb of fries.
- Comedy Knight in the CFE Arena from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. hosted by Hannibal Buress.
August 20
- KnightRave in the CFE Arena from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Live DJs will be performing EDM music in blacklights with glowsticks available.
August 21
- Concert Knight in the CFE Arena from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. X-Factor winners Alex & Sierra will be performing along with Karmin for the first free student concert of the year.
