I like a good drink.

I also like a good deal. I really like a good, cheap drink after spending a long day on campus.

After escaping the fluorescent lighting of UCF’s Library, I find myself squinting at the 5 o’clock sun trying to remember not only what bars exist nearby, but if any of them have happy hour and if I can make it there before last call (lets face it, the walk from the Library all the way to the D garage is not quick and by the time I get from D to the corner of Gemini and University, it’s close to 6).

The more I think about it, the more overwhelmed I get. There are so many bars nearby! How can I decide where to go? I could Google it, or I could download some app, or, or, I could take one day to drive to every bar on University from Rouse up and then down Alafaya towards Avalon and make a list of exactly what’s going on and where.

But going to every single bar’s happy hour all in one day is unreasonable, so here is my list of most of the bars on University and on Alafaya that are: 1. close, 2. have a decent happy hour, 3. have good service, and 4. cater to the 21 and over crowd.

May you never be thirsty again.

Every bar on this list is casual-dress (Happy Hour doesn’t judge you for looking like death) – except for Bar Louie. Death sticks out at Bar Louie.
