The University of Central Florida is once again hosting its annual KnightShare Expo — an emergency training and readiness week put on by multiple UCF agencies.

The expo will run March 16-19 and includes educational and hands-on opportunities to learn about safety and emergency preparedness and recovery. The event will include a women’s self-defense class, crisis intervention training, a CPR course, a storm spotter workshop and more.

photo On Wednesday, local, state and federal emergency responders will show off vehicles and equipment during a showcase at Memory Mall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be bomb robot and K-9 demonstrations, a DUI simulator and more.

On Thursday, UCF will conduct regular testing of the UCF Alert system.

KnightShare is coordinated by the Office of Emergency Management in partnership with UCF Police, Victim Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, Environmental Health and Safety, and other external agencies.
