An unidentified male robbed the Pita Pit on Collegiate Way near the University of Central Florida on Saturday, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
With a bandanna over his face, the suspect walked into the restaurant around 3:30 p.m. armed with a knife and wearing rubber gloves and asked two employees sitting at a table if they worked there. He then continued to go behind the counter and began “opening things,” according to an OCSO media release.
The suspect asked for money when an employee went behind the counter; the employee cooperated and gave the suspect the money.
The suspect then took the cash and fled the scene through the backdoor.
The suspect has not yet been arrested and authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect. He is a thin built white male in his mid 20’s with short brown hair and brown eyes.
