UCF is ready to kick off the 2016 football season.

On Thursday, UCF football held its first pep rally inside the Student Union. Several players were in attendance dressed in their game day jerseys along with members of the band and several UCF cheerleaders.

Students filled the UCF Student Union as the band played the UCF fight song and cheerleaders threw dozens of t-shirts out to the crowd. The atmosphere was filled with excitement for new head coach Scott Frost’s first game leading the Knights.

UCF gears up for their home opener this Saturday against South Carolina State, to begin at 7 p.m.

Students are admitted free with a valid UCF ID.
