The Knights kicked off their 2017 season with a bang following a three-game sweep over Siena College.
The Knights outscored Siena 27-8 over the entire series, including a 17-6 thrashing in the Knight’s season opener on Friday which ties the school record for most runs scored in a season opener.
Eli Putnam led the offensive charge for the Knights, tallying six hits over the weekend, two of which were home runs. Putnam finished the weekend with five RBI’s.
The Knights’ sweep on opening weekend marks the fourth one in a row by UCF, they will look to maintain their winning ways on Tuesday against UNF before they hit the road for a three-game series against Manhattan.
Tuesday’s game will take place at home at 6:30 p.m.
