If tailgate tents, lawn chairs, beer funnels, and sweltering heat aren’t your idea of a great time than UCF has a new, all-inclusive package for you.

They call it “covegating”.

Coming in Fall 2020, “covegating” will offer members resort-style amenities such as a lazy river, mini-golf, bocce ball, sand or pool volleyball, and more.

Members will also receive premium parking, food and beverage options, and entertainment — all while under the careful watch of security and lifeguards.

Only 250 memberships are available for all regular-season home football games and it comes at a steep price: $2,500 per person.

The pre-game festivities will be held in McNamara Cove, a new structure which is expected to break ground following the conclusion of the 2019 football season.

Student-athletes will have also access to the new facilities.

“UCF student-athletes have very demanding schedules,” UCF Vice President and Director of Athletics Danny White said. “Having a recovery and leisure space so close to the Wayne Densch Center for Student-Athlete Leadership and the Garvy Center for Student-Athlete Nutrition will significantly enhance the UCF student-athlete experience.”

According to UCF, no state, university, or students funds will be used for the financing of the Cove project.

Construction will move forward following a $1 million donation from alumni Tom and Stacey McNamara.
