The UCF Football team picked up another big addition for the 2023 recruiting class. Adding one of the best defensive linemen in the nation from Osceola High School.
John Walker, the 6’4 305-pound DL from Osceola High School committed to UCF Thursday for the 2023 season, beating out Ohio State, Michigan, Miami and in-state rival Florida Gators.
According to 247 Sports Walker comes in as the No. 11 ranked defensive Lineman in the country and No. 23 overall prospect in Florida.
During Walker’s Junior campaign in 2021, the DL collected a total of 77 tackles and 13 sacks, helping Osceola go 9-3 to make the second round of the Florida’s 8A playoffs.
A 247sports analysist concluded after evaluating Walker that he, “Projects to a high-level multi-year starter at a Power Five program at the next level.”
Walker is now the 8th commitment for the Knights’ 2023 season and first year with Power Five conference, The Big 12.
