Later today, the UCF Knights football team will battle the Kansas Jayhawks inside David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium. This will officially be the first meeting between the two teams.
One vital aspect of the game both teams will have to monitor is the quarterback position. According to UCF Coach Gus Malzahn, John Rhys Plumlee (starting quarterback for the Knights) has been medically cleared to return to the game of football. The question all of Knight Nation is asking… Will we see Plumlee take the field against Kansas? It is also being reported that Jason Daniels (starting quarterback for the Jayhawks) will not start in todays game. The reason for this seems to be a back injury. Instead, Jason Bean will take on the quarterback position for the Jayhawks. This would mark Bean’s third start in the 2023 football season.
Coming off of a heartbreaking loss to Baylor last week, the Knights are looking to regain momentum on the quest to prove they are here to stay in the BIG 12. Can the Knights get back on a winning track?
Kick-off is at 4:00 p.m. ET, and can be streamed on FOX.
