Prices for a one bedroom in a four person apartment are topping $1,000 in the majority of places around UCF for the first time. And no, not just luxury and new developments, but places that are over 25 years old!
During the pandemic, Central Florida residents suffered severe housing impacts due to greater housing demand. A shortage of homes and high demand for housing caused prices to sky rocket.
Some real life prices of a one bedroom in a four person apartment… Plaza on University has rent ranging from $1,109-$1,129 per month per person! The Village at Science Drive set rent at $1,044 per month per person! And Knights Circle (an off-campus apartment) has rent from $755 per month per person!
It seems as though affordable housing for college students is becoming a thing of the past. With that being said… good luck to all UCF students looking for a place to stay!
