For the first time in school history, UCF has earned its first No. 1 national ranking in a regular-season poll.
The UCF men’s soccer team has been dominate in the 2023 season with a 9-1-2 record. For the past three weeks, UCF has held the No. 2 spot in men’s soccer. This was impressive in itself, however, the Knights did not want to stop there. Coming off of a 5-match winning streak, they finally got the news they had been waiting for. On October 24th, the United Soccer Coaches’ week nine rankings put the Knights in the No. 1 spot.
This ranking marks a historic moment in UCF athletics history. This is the first time a UCF Knights sports team can say “We are number 1!”
