At the beginning of spring break, UCF students were surprised to find no workout equipment on the lower floor of the UCF Recreation and Wellness Center (RWC). Social media was set ablaze with students thinking that UCF cut funding for the beloved RWC.
However, the RWC announced that a whole revamp of the lower level was on its way. The lower floor of the RWC has been revamped with fresh equipment, much to the delight of students. Renovations took place over spring break, bringing in new weight and resistance gear alongside free weights. Notably, these machines are more compact, facilitating greater student presence on the floor. The grand reopening of the RWC occurred at the end of spring break, inviting students to test out the latest additions firsthand.
The RWC welcomes all students currently enrolled, while non-students can opt for paid memberships to access its facilities. So come and check it out for yourself!
