Milton Hurricane Milton is projected to be a category 3 when it makes landfall in the 407 area. As a result of this, UCF has canceled all classes and campus operations Tuesday through Thursday. All operations will continue until Monday October 7th at 11:59 PM, and will resume at 6 AM Friday October 11th. Dependent on the storms progression, more updates will be given as the week goes on. While the university of closed, UCF said that all assignments and assessments are suspended until the campus is open again to the public. Housing will remain open (subject to change), but keep in mind campus operations will not be.
In case of a power outage, it is mindful to be stocked on bottled water, have battery- operated devices, and to have an evacuation plan in mind to prepare for the worst. Knight News will continue to post updates on this storm as it progresses.
