From now on, you might want to consider taking the stairs instead. M. Night Shyamalan’s new flick, ‘Devil’, is about five people who get stuck in an office-building elevator. The fun part: Apparently, the devil is among them. The frightened passengers start to experience weird and deadly incidents that turn them all against each other. Meanwhile, police officers and the building’s staff watch from an elevator camera as they witness the eerie occurrences and attempt to rescue the group of trapped people.

Shyamalan, known for ‘The Sixth Sense’ and ‘Signs’, has not had much success with his movies in the past few years. They have been said to lack substance, and viewers leave the theater disappointed and slightly confused. Considering a majority of the film takes place in an elevator car, this movie has the potential to drag on. But if the entire movie exudes the gut-wrenching suspense of the preview, it’s possible that Shyamalan could redeem himself from his recent flops and be known for another quality thriller.
