If you’re wanting to jump on the electric dance music bandwagon like the rest of UCF, I suggest you listen up: Max Vangeli and Thomas Gold are the next biggest DJs. Not only do they have the support from the DJ-trio phenomenon, Swedish House Mafia but the two can individually spin amazingly, and are currently on tour showing the rest of the dancing world what’s up.

During Miami Music Week, Vangeli and Gold played at the sold-out Masquerade Motel held on the beaches of Miami. The day before their hurrah, I attended the Sirius XM private party at The W to catch up with these two emerging artists.

“We’re so grateful for our success and to play tomorrow at the Masquerade Motel. We can’t wait to DJ and party with our fans! Everything has happened so fast and we’re excited to see what’s about to come,” the two DJ/producers said.

Luckily for them, the two are probably in for a great treat over the next few months. Within the past year, fame has prevailed for both DJ/producers who have experienced fantastic success within the house/electronica world. Vangeli has been coined the “Swedish House Mafia prodigy” and Gold was voted “Breakthrough Artist/Producer of the Year” by Axwell in DJ Mag’s Top 100.

“I’m sometimes still in shock that this is all happening,” Vangeli explained. “The Swedish House Mafia were my DJ idols growing up and now I’m playing with them; it’s surreal.”

Well no worries Max, it’s apparent SHM thinks you’re just as great. Releasing his single, “Swedish Beauty” on their latest album and signing him to Steve Angello’s Size Records, SHM has completely taken Vangeli under their wing and it doesn’t look like it’s stopping anytime soon. Currently Vangeli is touring the states with production partner, AN21, and Steve Angello on the Size Matter’s Tour bus.

And right there with Vangeli is Thomas Gold. Within the past few years, Gold has toured throughout the world and his singles and remixes have been released through top electronic labels such as Size, Toolroom, and Phazing records. In the up coming months, Gold has plans to collaborate with Kim Fai, Prok & Fitch, David Tort and Alex Kengi.

Though the two have a heavy schedule ahead, they still had plans to take full advantage of their time in Miami.

“This week I’ve come across so many friends and musical inspirations,” Gold said. “I look to my left and I see a DJ friend of mine, and then I look to my right and I see many more. It’s been great to catch up with friends.”

“Miami has been a great time. The beaches are beautiful, the women are beautiful and the partying is awesome. I have a gig in a few hours with AN21 but hopefully I can squeeze some mingling and drinking in before,” Vangeli confessed.

If I have one recommendation, it’s to look out for Max Vangeli and Thomas Gold. Check out Vangeli’s remix, ”On Melancholy Hill” and Thomas Gold’s “We Want Your Soul.” Both receiving great feedback within the itunes Dance category, the two are sure to blow up in the house scene by the end of 2011.
