It would appear that UCF has jumped to the attention to those at the highest level of competition in NCAA football.
FSU’s Jameis Winston has made it clear that he wishes he had a chance to play the Knights, saying during media day that, “They can play with anybody, and I respect UCF.”
Winston was able to face the two other powerhouse programs in Florida this year, defeating UF 37-7 in The Swamp and Miami 41-14 at home. Neither program finished the season in the top 25.
The desire of the nation’s top team to play UCF comes after the Knights finished first in the American Athletic Conference and upset No. 6 Baylor in the Fiesta Bowl.
