Central Florida’s second Smashburger location is opening Thursday near the University of Central Florida.
Located at 334 N. Alafaya Trail in the Waterford Towers shopping center, the concept restaurant is known for its hand-smashed patties and a variety of toppings that come on its burgers. It’s signature burgers include BBQ, Bacon and Cheddar, Spicy Jalapeno Baja, Truffle Mushroom Swiss and Avocado Ranch Veggie Black Bean, among others.
The restaurant also offers a variety of other items including Smashfries — its own take on fries that can come hand-tossed with garlic, rosemary and olive oil, along with hand-breaded haystack onions and fried pickles and a variety of milkshakes.
The 3,000-square-foot location has seating for 102 guests, according to the Orlando Business Journal.
The restaurant’s first Central Florida location opened on Nov. 26 at 3162 E. Colonial Drive in the Colonial Landing shopping center across from Orlando Fashion Square. According to their Twitter page, the Waterford Tower location will open Dec. 4.
