The University of Central Florida has curated a list of parking resources for students to take advantage of this Fall semester.

Along with the Park and Ride Service run by UCF and the open lot near the softball field and Arboretum, the university will have new options across campus to ease commuting.

New to Parking

  • Lot H4-A that’s south of the Fraternity and Sorority Life offices at the intersection of Greek Park Drive and Aquarius Agora Road is being transformed into a 275-space student parking lot. It will be available by the start of the semester.
  • Four electric-car charging stations will be added to the campus, bringing the total number of charging stations to 15. Users can fully charge their cars for free. Stations are located in parking garages A and D, and in lots B1, B6 and D1.

Parking Tips

  • Students with valid parking permits can park near the softball field on North Orion Boulevard and pick up a Park and Ride shuttle to campus. Shuttles pick up every 15 minutes and drop students off near the College of Health & Public Affairs next to Memory Mall. Signs will be up around campus to direct cars to the 400-space Park and Ride lot.
  • Areas of campus that usually have parking available are the Libra Garage, the top deck of Garage A and Lot B8.
  • Students with valid parking permits can park in non-reserved faculty/staff spots after 5:30 p.m.
  • Order and pick up a parking permit prior to the start of the semester to avoid the rush. Decals can be picked up at the Visitor and Parking Information Center or the Parking Services office at Garage D.

Other Parking Resources

  • UCF shuttles pick up at nearby student apartment complexes and drop off passengers at various spots on campus. There are 15 different routes, plus routes from the main campus to Lake Nona and the Rosen College of Hospitality Management. Passengers can track the shuttles via GPS.
  • Parking Services personnel are available to assist with flat tires, battery jumps if keys are locked in a car, if a vehicle runs out of gas, and more. Call 407-823-5555 for assistance.

Knight News has launched a Twitter account that tweets out the number of open parking spots for student commuters beginning this Fall semester.

Instead of guessing which garage to park in ahead of your class, whether you’re running late or want to park close to your class, you can check the account for the most updated numbers for on-campus garages.

The account – UCFTraffic – neatly and reliably displays the number of open parking spots for Garages A, B, C, D, H, I, and Libra every 15 minutes.
