Summer is coming to an end and fall is right around the corner, which means some of our favorite TV shows are coming back.
Plus, 24 new shows are trying to make their way to the top — and might just do it.
These shows include serious action-dramas like Flash Forward, which is about a bizarre event that allows millions of people to see flashes into the future. NCIS: Los Angeles is a spinoff of the hit CBS show NCIS, and stars Chris O’Donnell and LL Cool J playing agents assigned to the Office of Special Projects of Navy Intelligence. The well known Jerry Bruckheimer produces the ABC show The Forgotten, a drama about a group of detectives formed by a past cop (Christian Slater) that tries to solve murders involving unidentified victims.
Comedies are also a big part of the new season to come this fall.
Bored to Death is a comedy about a Brooklyn writer who is trying to deal with a bad breakup, and stars Jason Schwartzman (Rushmore, Funny People) and Zach Galifianakis (The Hangover).
A familiar character to some, Cleveland Brown, stars in The Cleveland Show, a spin-off of Family Guy. In the spinoff, Cleveland moves to Stoolbend, Va. and renews a romance with his high school girlfriend. Another funny actor, The Soup’s Joel McHale, stars in Community in which he plays an attorney forced to go back to community college.
Some have already watched previews of a few new shows, like Glee, which has been called a “dark high school dramedy.” Kristin Chenoweth, Victor Garber and rapper Eve are all scheduled to guest star.
The Beautiful Life, with executive producer Ashton Kutcher, follows two models (Sara Paxton and High School Musical’s Corbin Bleu) as they are taken into the chaotic fashion world.
