UPDATE 10/15:
We have confirmed that several of the Jimmy John’s workers who were robbed at gunpoint are in fact UCF students.
Although state public record law does not protect the names of crime victims, unless it is a rape, KnightNews.com is not releasing the names of the Jimmy John’s victims, at their request.
The victims we were able to contact did not want to talk about the robbery.
We’re waiting for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office to provide an update on this case and the men seen in the video they want to talk to. We will provide any updates once we get them.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has released surveillance video to KnightNews.com showing the faces of the men investigators believe to be involved in the robbery to Jimmy John’s on University Blvd. at gunpoint last week.
The video of the suspected robbers was taken outside Shamrock Liquor Store, in the shopping plaza with McDonald’s right across from UCF, before the Jimmy John’s was robbed early Oct. 4.
Investigators said the men seen in the video (below) may be responsible for another robbery to a Subway shop in Oviedo, happening before the robbery to Jimmy John’s.
There was also a similar third robbery on Sunday at 9 p.m. at the Best Way Beverage Mart, but investigators have not said it is related to the first two sub shop robberies. To see the dramatic survielience video of that robbery, click on the related link to the right.
The sheriff’s office is asking for the publics help to solve these robberies, especially because of how close they are happening to areas popular with students.
If you recognize any of the men in the videos above or below, you’re asked to call the Orange County Sheriff’s Office immediately.
