Any Gleeks in the house?

Fox Network’s new hit show Glee is sweeping the nation. It seems America can’t help tuning in to these loveable losers every Wednesday night.

The majority of the cast was unknown prior to Glee, but has found overnight fame, appearing on red carpets and talk shows everywhere. Most loved by the media and Gleeks is Canadian hunk Cory Monteith, who plays the lead, Finn.

With the Glee Club in jeopardy, Spanish teacher Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison), looking to revisit his former glee glory, takes charge. He must battle his adversary Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch), an abrasive, fiery woman who finds no better pleasure than terrifying students and staff alike, and is not at all fond of the Glee way of life. He must also convince his lead Rachel (Lea Michele) to not abandon ship for the theatre.

There’s also the matter of several love quadrangles. Is Will’s wife really pregnant or faking? And is Will falling for his doe-eyed co-worker Emma (Jayma Mays)? Who exactly is head cheerleader and glee member Quinn’s (Dianna Agron) baby daddy? Can she keep Finn’s interest, or does his true love lie with Rachel?

As it tag suggests, “Glee is a biting comedy for the underdog in all of us”. There are many musical scenes in which the actors lip sync to their own previously recorded voices. These scenes border on cheesy-ness, however the sound quality and vocals are quite impressive. This is a feel good comedy packed with drama, and will have you hooked within one episode.

You can catch up on all the glee action you’ve missed out on so far at fox.com and tune in every Wednesday night at nine for new episodes.
