Last weekend, KnightNews.com was able to sit down with local filmmaker Jose Cassella to talk about his independent film The Sacred.
The Sacred is a film about five college students who travel to small island in the Florida swamp to work on their thesis about Native Americans. They find themselves on sacred land that was used to judge criminals hundreds of years ago. Soon, each of them becomes surrounded by their worst nightmares.
In comparison to many independent films that never see the light of day, Jose’s film is being screened Tuesday, October 13 at the Orlando Cinema Cafe located downtown. If you’re a student, admission is only $5 dollars, while teachers get admission for only $2. The general public screening will be at 9:30pm.
This article is also an invitation to all independent filmmakers. If you have a film that needs exposure, we’d love to hear from you. Send us a link to your video at JBelyea@knightnews.com, and if we get enough submissions, every week we will select one video to be featured on the site.
