According to multiple sources, KnightNews has learned that the UCF Knights’ opponent December 19th in St.Petersburg will be the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
Other speculated Big East opponents for the Knights have begun to clear up the bowl picture with the USF Bulls likely playing in the International Bowl in Toronto, while Pittsburgh heads to the Meineke Car Care Bowl and UConn will play in the Papa Johns Bowl.
Rutgers went 8-4 this year, 3-4 in the Big East with losses to currently fourth ranked Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, and West Virginia. They feature the number 19-ranked total defense in the country, and are currently ranked number one in turnover margin.
