ORIGINAL STORY WE POSTED ABOUT THE PATROLS AT 2 P.M. FRIDAY
If you’re planning to get drunk during happy hour tonight, watch the Orlando Magic game and then hit the road under the influence of alcohol, chances are you’ll be arrested.

KnightNews.com has confirmed the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, along with UCF police and the Florida Highway Patrol, will be searching for drunk drivers in the UCF area tonight.

The UCF police department will be hosting the multi-jurisdictional effort, officials said, adding that high profile DUI saturation patrol operations are a valuable tool to law enforcement to remove drunk drivers and other traffic offenders from the roads.

Agencies will have a mobile blood alcohol testing unit at their disposal during the operation. Mother’s Against Drunk Driving are also participating in the event.

KnightNews.com has been checking for safe rides home, should you end up too drunk to drive.

This memorial day weekend, you can call the AAA Tow to Go’ program, which offers a free ride home, along with a free tow, for free by calling 1-800-AAA-HELP (4357) this Friday through Monday. The service is confidential.
