ORIGINAL BREAKING NEWS:
UCF police were called to the scene after a swarm of Orange County emergency vehicles gathered at Campus Crossing apartments on Alafaya Trail after a possible meth lab forced about 50 people to be evacuated from their homes.
KnightNews.com was there collecting video when Paul Hopkins from the Orange County Sheriff’s confirmed some of the suspects are UCF students.

Campus Crossing is not patrolled by UCFPD, but Hopkins said they called them for help due to the crime scene’s proximity to UCF and because many of the suspects are UCF students.
It’s not clear if a full meth lab is inside the student housing complex, however Hopkins said, “There are chemicals that we believe are part of a meth lab.”
Orange County Sheriff’s deputies are waiting for their meth-lab team to evaluate suspicious chemicals found in one of the apartments.
KnightNews.com crews are working to post video obtained from the way to the scene of this breaking news and to identify anybody who gets arrested. Once we do, we’ll post their mug shots.
