The (1) UCF womens soccer team beat (4) SMU 2 to 0 Friday night in the semifinals to advance to the C-USA Championship.

UCF started out playing fast with a goal by Kim Newsome #14 only 2 minutes and 11 seconds into the game and Nicolette Radovcic #23 scored another attisted by Katie Jackson #15 at the 29th minute mark.

“We scored an early goal again and that always helps,” said head coach Amanda Cromwell. “We finished well in the first half. In the second half we were just as dangerous but just couldn’t finish, and SMU came at us with a stronger attack. We were lucky that they did not put one in to make it a real interesting game.”
