Space shuttle Atlantis will blast off into space for the shuttle program’s final space mission. The shuttle is scheduled to blast off at 11:26 a.m. and the latest weather reports indicate a good chance the liftoff will go as schedule.

The final flight of the shuttle program, STS-135, involves a 12-day mission to the International Space Station, NASA reports. The crew of four will carry the Raffaello multipurpose logistics module with supplies and spare parts for the International Space Station. The astronauts slated to fly the mission are: Commander Chris Ferguson, Pilot Doug Hurley, and Mission Specialists Sandy Magnus and Rex Walheim.
