Subject: STEM Challenges for Governor Perry
Dear Governor Scott:
Thank you for the opportunity to brainstorm about some potential challenges that you could issue to Governor Perry related to STEM. I have had a little time to think about it and requested some input and ideas from some of my senior staff as well. Attached you will find synopses of three potential challenges that you could issue to Governor Perry that would create competitions between USF and the University of Texas in the STEM fields. We focused on challenges that could yield relatively quick results in producing new products, jobs, innovations and/or graduates in STEM fields.
Please let me know how we might be able to assist you further with this as we are very anxious to help in any way possible.
Thanks again for the opportunity to take on this challenge.
Sincerely,
Judy Genshaft
