A new advertising campaign for Chipotle is causing a great deal of buzz across the web.
The new advertisement from Chiptole, which features a video titled “The Scarecrow”, is a three and a half minute short which sends a powerful anti-factory-farming message while supporting Oscar-worthy visual effects and a passion-filled rendition of “Pure Imagination” by Fiona Apple.
“We’re trying to educate people about where their food comes from,” says Mark Crumpacker, chief marketing officer at Chipotle.
The advertisement, which only displays the Chipotle name two times, is for a new iOS7 video game from the company but certainly aims at a much clearer message — eat better, eat local. Back in July, for example, the company announced plans to become the first US restaurant chain to strip its menu items of all genetically engineered ingredients, according to Gawker.
