O-Town Mac Down, an inaugural mac-and-cheese cookoff hosted by Give Kids the World is coming to the Orange County Convention Center on Saturday, August 23.

Competitors ranging from hometown competitors to professional chefs will be competing to win the title of “Best Mac-and-Cheese” and other awards in various categories for the non-profit organization.

The event is family friendly and will include entertainment, as well as a play zone for the young ones.

“People should expect to have their fill of mac-n-cheese and have a great time. It will be fun to watch the mac-n-cheese being made by professionals and home cooks,” said Give Kids the World Spokesman Mark Hoewing.

The event will cost $10 a person, will start at 11 a.m. and end at 4 p.m.

“The nicest park about this is it’s not just filling their tummy with delicious mac n cheese, but also helping kids in need at the same,” said Spokesman Mark Hoewing.
