The fire, reported on Wagon Rd., broke out around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night. Eight apartments were affected by water and fire damage, Orange County Fire Rescue said.
OCFR said that one person evacuated from the burning apartment building was evaluated by rescue crews and released on the scene.
The American Red Cross is going to assist six apartment residents, OCFR said.
“It started fast. I was out getting dinner. Not gone more than 10 minutes. When I got back, this was happening,” Jose C. Arbona, a resident of The Place at Alafaya said.
Fire officials evacuated the apartment building but the cause of the flames is still unclear.
