The UCF Cheer team advanced to the final rounds of the National Championships following a day of competing at Disney World.

The cheerleading team performed in front of a packed hosue at the HP Fieldhouse at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex Saturday night. Their performance netted them a spot in the finals of the College Cheerleading National Championships.

The Knights are seeking to continue a streak of eight-straight top-five finishes on Sunday when they take the floor at 8:10 p.m. Fifteen teams are set to compete in the finals that begin at 6:30 p.m.

The Knightmoves dance team took the floor about shortly after the cheer team, competing as a semifinalist in the Hip Hop division. The squad came up just short of cracking the top eight that advanced to the finals on Sunday.

Knightmoves and the cheerleading team are also set to compete in the World University Cheer Championships on Sunday afternoon with each squad taking the floor at 4:45 p.m. and 1:31 p.m., respectively, inside the J Center.
