The Her Campus National Team is visiting eight schools in the southeast as part of their Southern Charm Tour, with UCF being their sixth stop. Other Florida Universities include Florida State, USF, and the University of Campus.
“This is the first time we’ve done a Her Campus branded tour,” said Windsor Westin, co-founder of Her Campus Media.
“We’re really excited to be here for stop number six, partnering up with Her Campus UCF,” said Westin.
Westin was signing copies of her book, The Her Campus Guide to College Life: How to Manage Relationships, Stay Safe and Healthy, Handle Stress and Have the Best Years of Your Life, while on the tour.
“We’re one of 250 chapters of the Her Campus publication in the nation,” said Maddie Hammond, marketing director and campus correspondent for Her Campus UCF.
Sponsors were offering activities and surprise giveaways, including a green-screen photo booth.
“Her Campus Nationals brought out some of our national sponsors,” said Hammond.
The Her Campus staff was thrilled with the turn out, pointing out the fact that there was a line already forming before they opened at 11 a.m.
The Southern Charm Tour will head to USF next before finishing off the tour at the University of Tampa.
