Democratic presidential candidates gathered Tuesday night for a debate hosted by CNN.

UCF students watched attentively as the Democratic candidates duked it out for the party’s presidential nomination.

Over twenty UCF democrat students gathered together to watch the event. This debate was between Presidential nominees Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, Martin O’Malley, Jim Webb and Lincoln Chaffee.

Three issues that took over the debate were gun control, college affordability, and illegal immigration.

Though all the candidates on stage are Democrats, their plans differed tremendously. But even with these differences Democratic leaning students still felt all of the candidates did an amazing job.

“When Democrat’s across this country watched their champions debate on important issues, we were flushed with pride and patriotism. We saw five people with real vision for the future,” Knights for Hillary President Jesse Rubens said after the debate.
