The end of the Fall 2016 semester saw the closing of Corner Cafe in the Student Union of the University of Central Florida.
A popular stop, Corner Cafe closed due to management decisions and will not reopen.
“The owner of Corner Cafe (who) also owns Asian Chao and Huey Magoo’s Express[,] made the decision to close the Corner Cafe to refocus on the other two eateries,” Mark Schlueb, Senior Communications Coordinator for the UCF News and Information Office said.
The express restaurant previously offered grilled paninis, salads, and wraps to students adjacent to the food court on the first floor of the Union.
No other restaurants have been planned by the university to close through the semester due to the expansion of the Student Union, UCF officials stated.
